I’m excited to be featured in Mary Orlin’s Huffington Post article on in-home wine tastings entitled “The Wine Version of a Tupperware Party in Your Own Home”.
Mary is a delightful wine writer who, according to her Orlin Media website, is “the Emmy award-winning co-founder of Orlin Media, where she is a wine TV and video producer, telling winery stories behind the label. She’s also The WineFashionista on The Huffington Post where she’s a featured blogger on the wine and food pages.”
After attending a wine tasting that I led for my friend Kelsey. Mary told me of her intention to write an article about the experience. This made me very excited but also a little nervous. What would she say? Would she highlight the things I hoped she would highlight?
Well, it turns out I had nothing to be nervous about. Mary asked a bunch of great questions to make sure she really understood WineShop At Home and my role as one of their independent wine consultants. Mary did a fantastic job of capturing the essence of an in-home wine tasting experience. She highlighted that our “number one goal is to help people have more fun with wine.” She also said that WineShop At Home is “a company with a mission to take the intimidation out of learning about wine and the wine buying experience…”
I couldn’t have said it any better. Wine is all about having fun, and I think Mary captured that beautifully.
If you would like to host a wine tasting or lead wine tastings for other people, please let me know. I would love the opportunity to work and play with you in the wine world.
